For the first full compilation to be released on Audio Gourmet, we have teamed together with Hibernate Records, the Felt Collective and a selection of some of the finest names in the modern ambient music scene. The compilation, called 'Hidden Landscapes' features fourteen pieces of music in which the artists were briefed to compose something particularly wintery to match the mood of the colder season.
The resulting soundtrack should be the perfect listening companion for colder times, with its icy cold exterior. Perhaps once the ice melts and the temperature begins to rise, parts of this album will reveal themselves to you and sound different in the warmth.
There were also 200 limited edition CD copies of Hidden Landscapes printed courtesy of Jonathan at Hibernate Records. He has kindly offered to design and print this stunning album as a physical copy. As with most limited edition discs, these are selling out fast, so be sure to grab yourself a keepsake-copy here:
The album has been carefully mastered by Byron from the Felt Collective.

Martin Herterich was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1985, but has lived in Sweden for most of his life. Much of his music is based on minimalist piano compositions and feedback experiments filtered through layers of dust and filthy tape echoes. His greatest obsession is old time-worn instruments and recording equipment; to the point where harmony and dissonance gets lost in hiss and texture. Besides a bunch of self-released tapes and CDs, he's released records on labels such as Kalligrammofon, Under The Spire and Kesh. Out now is the cassette release "Kustlandet" on swedish label Fang Bomb (actually to be released end of November) and up next is a cassette release on iDEAL Recordings to be released some time early next yearhttp://silentfields.wordpress.com
